Privacy Policy
VisitWhen has no accounts and collects no personal information to browse. Saved parks (if you use the star feature) live only in your browser's local storage — they never leave your device.
From 3 to 27 October 2026 park-month pages carried a test sign-up for campsite alerts. The test has ended and every address it collected has been deleted.
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see, in aggregate, which pages are read and which links are clicked. Outside the EU, the UK, Switzerland and California these tools can set cookies in your browser; inside those regions Google Analytics starts with its cookies switched off, and inside the EU, the UK and Switzerland Microsoft Clarity does not load at all. We sell nothing to anyone.
Outbound links to government sources (nps.gov, noaa.gov) are plain links. Gear names in the weather-computed packing lists are Amazon affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate, VisitWhen earns from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. They point to Amazon searches — we never set prices, and the affiliate relationship is disclosed on every page where such links appear.
Pages also show one small Amazon product ad, marked Sponsored. Its photo loads from Amazon's image server (m.media-amazon.com) and its price comes from Amazon's product API through our own server, refreshed at most hourly. It sets no cookies of ours.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. If we do, Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies (and similar identifiers such as your IP address and device information) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure them. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and you can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings (or opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info). If ads are shown, visitors in the EU, the UK and Switzerland are first asked for consent through Google's own consent message, and no ad cookie is set without it.
